Our Client a food processing company in the North East is seeking to recruit an Operations Manager .

Reporting the Managing Director,Core Responsibilities are:

  • Overall responsibility for operations and technical direction of the plant
  • Overall customer quality management, from customer requirement specifications to customer satisfaction / complaints
  • Overall management and control of product specifications and standards
  • Management of supplier quality from specifications to performance assessment
  • Management of key customers including audits, quality, evaluation
  • Maintaining good working relationship with DAFF
  • Lead the continuous improvement programme
  • Developing methods to improve the yield and productivity and to minimize the waste
  • Liaising with the Sales and QA on the development and manufacturing of new products/modification of existing products
  • Reporting weekly KPI’s
  • Will have 4 departmental managers reporting into the Operations Manager
Skills required

  • Meat industry experience an advantage
  • Degree or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate
  • Self starter, ability to work autonomously
