Clare based multinational client now has an excellent opportunity for Web Developer to join their team. The Web Developer is responsible for implementing and maintaining features and functionality of client e-commerce web sites ensuring adherence to client requirements while incorporating and promoting industry standards and best practices. The Web Developer will develop and maintain client e-commerce web sites using a variety of programming/scripting languages and applications, including, but not limited to, JSP, JavaScript, XHTML, XML, XSLT, CSS and jQuery and will ensure that client web sites adhere to defined coding, performance, accessibility and usability standards. The Web Developer will collaborate with various teams to ensure quality, client web sites are implemented effectively, will provide technical assistance to clients and internal site administrators and will assist in the planning and scoping of complex projects and functional implementations.

· Develop and maintain client e-commerce web sites using a variety of programming/scripting languages and applications, including JSP, JavaScript, XHTML, XML, XSLT, CSS and jQuery
· Ensure that client e-commerce web sites adhere to defined coding, performance, accessibility and usability standards
· Collaborate with various teams to ensure quality, client e-commerce web sites are implemented and/or maintained effectively
· Assist in the planning and scoping of complex projects and functional implementations with clients and internal client managers to ensure final product meets or exceeds client expectations
· Make recommendations to client account managers and our clients regarding industry best practices as they pertain to e-commerce web site production

· Document all work completed on projects/initiatives to facilitate future Web Development work as well as site, product, merchandising maintenance
· Proactively respond to questions from Web Development peers and client support teams
· Demonstrate ability to be autonomous/self-directed

Qualification Requirements
To perform successfully in this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required to do so. · 3 years of Web Development experience
· Working knowledge of XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (specifically native JavaScript and DOM experience), XML, XSLT, jQuery, AJAX
· Experience working with server side dynamic scripting or programming – specifically JSP, but also PHP, .NET or ColdFusion
· Fundamental understanding of HTTP principles, including headers, cookies, GZIP compression, caching
· Experience with Responsive Design or developing solutions for multiple devices (mobile, tablets, etc.)
· Effective analytical and communications skills
· Ability and desire to learn and grow into new responsibilities
· E-commerce experience

Education/Experience Requirements
· Bachelor of Arts, Computer Science or relevant degree
· Strong analytical skills
· Strong writing skills
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
