Here is a selection of people starting new roles with Corex Logistics, Esri Ireland, National Concert Hall, Irish Hospital Consultants Association, Esquires – The Organic Coffee Co. and Dalata Hotel Group.
Steve Healy has been appointed as CEO of Corex Logistics, the clinical trial and pharma logistics specialists. He was previously VP of business development. He has more than 20 years of expertise within pharma logistics, notably lead roles with va-Q-tec, Peli BioThermal and DGP Intelsius; he has worked with pharma companies, central labs and CROs to improve their logistics and supply chains. He worked with public sector institutions in the rollout of Covid-19 vaccines and other health initiatives. He will oversee the vision to further internationalise Corex, with its expansion into new markets and continued development of existing markets across Eastern Europe and Asia.
Nikita Awasthi has been appointed as digital marketing coordinator with Esri Ireland, specialist in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). She will deliver marketing campaigns to enhance Esri Ireland’s digital presence, boost brand awareness and drive customer growth and retention. She was previously a digital marketer at a D2C fashion start-up in Mumbai, India; she was also a graphic designer at JetSynthesys, also in Mumbai, overseeing online and offline campaigns; she has also led marketing projects as a graphic designer at Worldex India Exhibitions and Promotions. She holds a Masters in Digital Marketing from DCU. She has also presented at the global digital marketing conference DigiMarCon.
Joe Csibi has been appointed as head of orchestra and chorus to the National Symphony Orchestra and National Symphony Chorus. He lead the orchestra and choir’s artistic vision, business and financial management in line with the National Concert Hall’s overall strategy. He will be a key member of the NCH senior leadership team. His career extends from orchestral management to being a professional musician, orchestrator, composer, educator, creative producer and musical director. He has worked with Wexford Festival Opera, Windmill Lane Studios, Wide Open Opera, Lyric Opera, Riverdance, MCD and Aiken Promotions. Since 2019, he has been general manager of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.
Professor Gabrielle Colleran has been elected as president of the Irish Hospital Consultants Association. Clinical associate professor in paediatrics at TCD and assistant clinical professor in women’s and children’s health at UCD School of Medicine, she leads the Radiology Department at the National Maternity Hospital and is the radiology lead for the National Fetal MRI programme. As IHCA president, she will press the government to reduce waiting times and drive the green transition in healthcare. Mater Hospital consultant Prof Anne Doherty has been re-elected as IHCA vice-president, along with newly elected VP, Mr Colin Peirce, consultant general and colorectal surgeon at UH Limerick.
Brendan Duigenan has been appointed as managing director for Ireland of Esquires – The Organic Coffee Co., part of New Zealand-based Cooks Coffee Company. He previously held senior roles with coffee chains Starbucks and AMT. He began his hospitality career 25 years ago managing bars and restaurants, then joined Starbucks in 2007 as store manager in Kildare Village, quickly rising to district manager before joining AMT Coffee in 2014 as area manager for Ireland. In 2019, he joined Esquires as head of operations. He takes over as MD following the retirement of Tony McVerry, who introduced the Esquires Coffee brand to Ireland in 2000.
Kathrin Jung-Reinhard has been appointed as head of development strategy for Northern Europe with Dalata Hotel Group. Kathrin brings a wealth of experience to this role, having most recently served as head of real estate portfolio management at Universal Investment GmbH, an investment fund company headquartered in Frankfurt, managing over €35bn in real estate assets. She has also held senior roles with CBRE Germany and Deka Immobilien GmbH (“Deka”), where she played a pivotal role in Dalata’s transactions on the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road, Maldron Hotel Smithfield, Clayton Hotel Birmingham and the Gibson Hotel, Dublin. Kathrin joined Dalata in July and will be based in Frankfurt.
