Michaela Hagenhofer has been appointed as general manager of commercial operations in Ireland with Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. Michaela will lead all commercial aspects of the business, driving sustainable growth through enhanced access to innovative therapies. Michaela was previously commercial director for specialty care at J&J Innovative Medicine in Austria, where she achieved consistent business growth across key therapeutic areas including immunology, central nervous system, and cardiopulmonary therapies, driven by a customer-centric approach and a commitment to talent development. She previously worked for Takeda, AbbVie and Merck in roles with increased responsibility across many therapy areas including haematology, oncology and gastroenterology.
Dermot Fetton has been appointed as director of food and beverage with five-star hotel Ashford Castle. He brings 35 years of hospitality experience in Michelin-starred restaurants and five-star hotels in Ireland. He was owner of Cloister Restaurant & Bar and Henry’s Bistro & Wine Bar, both of which earned Michelin accreditation. He has previously held senior roles with Castlemartyr Resort and he was most recently restaurant manager with Dromoland Castle Hotel & Resort. From Waterford, Dermot began his hospitality journey in 1989 with the Irish government’s tourism training agency Cert. He brings invaluable experience and a deep understanding of operational excellence in hospitality.
Lisa Walsh has been promoted to chief operating officer with Bundledocs, the Irish cloud-based document bundling software provider. A co-founder of Bundledocs, Lisa previously worked as director of marketing and business development since the cloud-first service was launched in 2019, with a remit was to grow the customer base in key territories and new jurisdictions. She grew the business across 35 countries and the customer base to over 1,600 customers. “It has been a privilege to work with fellow co-founders, Brian Kenneally and James Hogan, over the past five years. I’m delighted to step up to the role of COO,” said Lisa.
Caroline O’Sullivan has been appointed as country lead with Delta Capita, a global financial services consulting, managed services, and technology provider. Based in Dublin, Caroline will develop and execute the firm’s regional business strategy with a focus on driving sustainable growth across all core service lines in addition to managing client relationships and overseeing business operations. She will report to Philip Freeborn, co-head of global markets and wholesale banking services at Delta Capita. She was previously the firm’s COO, overseeing the delivery of Delta Capita’s assignments in Ireland. She brings a wealth of finance and investment banking experience to her new role.
Jim Breslin has been appointed as the new chair of Renewable Energy Ireland, a partnership of Ireland’s sustainable energy associations. He succeeds Dr Tanya Harrington, chair since 2021. Mr Breslin has played a leading role in public service over three decades; he was Secretary General of three Government departments, most recently the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science. He holds a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, an MSc (Econ) from TCD, and a cert in Business and Climate Change from Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and an IoD diploma in Company Direction.
Sean Buckley has been appointed as director for Area East with Bank of Ireland, overseeing 54 branches and outlets across Dublin city and county, Kildare, and Wicklow, encompassing over 480 colleagues. He brings more than 30 years’ retail banking experience, shaping and improving the bank’s customer offering. Since joining in 2013, he has held senior roles including as head of mortgage originations and most recently head of customer operations in the Bank’s Retail Ireland division. A native of Leixlip, Co Kildare, he is a graduate of the National College of Ireland, and holds a HDip in Financial Services and a Professional Diploma in Financial Advice (QFA).
