Eamonn Corcoran has been appointed as director for area south with Bank of Ireland, overseeing 53 branches and outlets across Munster and South East Leinster (Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford), encompassing over 550 colleagues. Eamonn has 25 years’ experience in financial services. He first joined Bank of Ireland in 2000 and has held a number of senior roles including head of wealth direct and digital, head of county for Clare and Tipperary, and most recently head of Co Cork. Bank of Ireland has 169 branches across the Republic of Ireland and 13 in Northern Ireland. The bank recently invested €60m in branch improvements, including in ATMs.
Bénédicte Verley Hudry has been appointed the new head of global biopharma firm Ipsen’s Blanchardstown-based manufacturing site. She moves to Dublin following six years in lead roles with Ipsen across the Dreux, Boulogne-Billancourt and Wrexham sites. Over her 20-year career, Bénédicte has managed large manufacturing and packaging, engineering, and supply chain departments with life science companies including Arko Pharma, Ethypharm, OCP by Phoenix Group, Delpharm and Boiron. Ipsen’s Dublin site has won a Shingo prize for operational excellence. Ipsen is the world’s first pharma to gain Shingo prizes for two sites producing treatments for patients; the site in Signes, France, won the prize in 2020.
Andrew Bernard has been appointed as CEO with biomethane developer Greengate Biogas, overseeing all aspects of governance, legal, and shareholder duties. He brings over 20 years of global executive level experience in renewable energy. He founded Biscayne Consulting in London, advising clients on alternative proteins, waste management, logistics, and renewable energy projects. He was the specialist innovation and technology advisor for an EY consortium to the Republic of Cyprus Government. He holds a Masters in Applied Ethics (Business) from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, is a member of the Institute of Directors, and is an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management.
Rodney Doyle has been appointed as managing director of energy transition with professional services firm KPMG Ireland. Rodney will work closely with Colm O’Neill, global head of power utilities, as the firm responds to the growing demand from clients. Rodney joins KPMG with over 20 years’ experience in the energy sector having previously held the role of chief operating officer at the national grid operator, EirGrid. In that role, he had responsibility for the operation of the electricity grid, interconnectors and markets, and worked closely with all types of energy producers and consumers to manage the grid and help with the delivery of Ireland’s renewable targets.
Joyce Fitzharris, president of SK pharmteco, Small Molecule, Europe, has been appointed as the new chair of BioPharmaChem Ireland (BPCI), the Ibec group representing the biopharmaceutical and chemical sectors. Joyce was elected to the honorary role at BPCI’s annual leaders forum in Kilkenny, where 80 senior leaders discussed the sustainable development of the sector. Joyce succeeds outgoing chair Brian Killen, digital transformation lead with MSD’s manufacturing division. The BPCI board is made up of executive directors at CEO and MD level from across the biopharma, pharma, and chemical sectors. The sector employs over 80,000 people directly and indirectly, across 90 companies in Ireland.
Conor Gourley has been appointed as a business and talent development manager with change and project management specialists Marbral Advisory in Dublin. He brings significant experience in executive and director roles in Ireland and five years spent working in project management in Sydney, Australia. He is a trusted advisor with a wealth of international and local experience in strategic recruitment and business pipeline development. He will be based in Dublin, while managing projects across Ireland and the Isle of Man. He will be the first point of contact for new clients in these jurisdictions, while leading the firm’s pool of circa 400 consultants and associates.
