Joris Rosmolen has been appointed as general manager with OptionsCard.ie, the Irish digital gift card company. He joins from Apple and brings 20 years of experience in consumer loyalty, employee motivation and the rewards industry. He was most recently Apple’s manager enterprise, major accounts, and led the team that rolled out the Apple Gift Card in Europe. He joins OptionsCard.ie to implement his wealth of knowledge and proven track record of driving sales growth, building client and brand partnerships and developing high-performance teams. He will work closely with businesses on the importance of reward programmes as part of employee retention. OptionsCard.ie has over 60 nationwide retail brands.
Helen Carbery has been appointed as CEO of the Credit Union Development Association (CUDA). She steps into the role as Dr Kevin Johnson, CEO for the past 16 years, has decided to retire from CUDA. Helen brings a wealth of experience and leadership to CUDA, having worked in financial services for over two decades. Her extensive expertise spans retail banking, capital markets, insurance, and wealth management. She has held several executive roles, most notably in AIB where she led large business, product, lending and change teams in a highly regulated environment. She will focus on the protection of the unique role of credit unions in their communities.
Vivek Daga has been appointed as the new group VP and managing director for the UK, Ireland, and Emerging Markets with digital engineering company GlobalLogic, part of Hitachi Group. Vivek brings a wealth of experience in driving transformation, growth, and client success across various sectors. Before joining GlobalLogic, Vivek successfully led the UK & Ireland business for three years at NTT Ltd and spent six years at Cognizant. His career also includes leadership roles at TCS and IBM, and he has extensive global experience working in the USA, Europe, Australia, and India. He will reinforce GlobalLogic’s ability to assist clients with intelligent products, platforms, and services.
Pietro Formaro has been appointed as field client director for Ireland with Logicalis UK&I, a provider of IT solutions and managed services. He will support business development, notably with international operations across the banking, financial services, pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors. He was previously a client director at Sidero (now GlobalLogic) for almost two years. He also previously served as country manager for Ireland and Northern Ireland for Virtustream (a Dell Company). Prior to that, he spent three years as a field account executive with Sungard Availability Services. Pietro holds a diploma in Electronics & Telecommunications from the Technological Technical Institute Rimini, Italy.
Fiona Morgan has been appointed to the tax practices of law firm RDJ, based in the firm’s Cork office. A chartered tax adviser and chartered accountant, Fiona Morgan joins from PwC, where she practised as a corporate tax adviser for seven years. She brings a wealth of experience having worked predominately in the areas of corporation tax, personal tax and VAT on property. “We are always looking to further bolster our tax offering, and Fiona’s extensive experience in acting for domestic and international clients on corporate tax matters will be an excellent addition to our team,” said John Cuddigan, head of RDJ’s tax practice.
Bobby McCormack, co-founder and CEO of the NGO Development Perspectives, based in Drogheda, has been appointed as the new chair of the Irish Development Education Association (IDEA). He brings over 20 years of dedication to global citizenship education and his leadership in promoting global citizenship and social justice in Ireland and overseas, creating innovative education programmes. He has played leading roles with Saolta, the SDG Advocate Training and DPTV, which have engaged thousands of participants in Ireland and internationally. As chair of IDEA, he will bring an unique perspective, passion, and expertise to the national stage, leading its efforts to advance global citizenship education across Ireland.
