Here is a selection of people starting new roles with Ward Personnel, Philip Lee, Chanelle Pharma, Gallagher, TEKaviation and Three Ireland.

Martin Jensen has been appointed as country manager for Denmark with Irish recruitment firm Ward Personnel. The firm serves the construction, mechanical and electrical sectors from its offices in Cork, Dublin, Poland and Denmark. Martin will support clients across Denmark and the Nordic countries as more Irish firms continue to spread their operations across Europe. Having trained initially as a welder, he brings over 20 years of construction, mechanical and electrical experience across the US and Denmark. Martin’s US experience includes managing construction companies, project management, and the site management of a wide range of construction projects. He holds a leadership qualification from Stanford University.

Anna Hickey has been promoted within law firm Philip Lee to lead the M&A activities of its climate finance team. With a background in carbon markets and corporate law, Anna will focus on the evolving intersection of climate change mitigation and corporate transactions and will focus on expanding the M&A side of the team to meet the demands of the increased M&A work hitting their desks. “I look forward to helping clients navigate deals from large-scale investments to complex corporate deals with the net-zero transition at their core,” said Anna. The firm is headquartered in Dublin and with offices in London and San Francisco.

Jacob Kurdziel has joined Chanelle Pharma, a partner to human and animal health companies, as head of corporate development, driving strategic growth initiatives and overseeing key projects. He brings extensive experience across the US, China and Europe. He previously held senior roles in industry and consulting with Belgian Biopharma, UCB, where he led a transformative international analytics team, and consulting firm McKinsey & Company, where he was a core member of the Life Science practice leading projects with some of the industry’s largest players. He specialises in corporate strategy (including M&A, market entry, portfolio management) and commercial analytics, and has earned a strong reputation for providing executive leadership with impactful strategic counsel and implementing successful, data-driven Go-to-Market models.

Donal Martin has been promoted to head of leasing solutions in TEKaviation, the aviation division of digital services company TEKenable. He was previously client director at TEKenable for two years. He is also currently a director of China International Aviation Leasing Services (CALS) and has previously worked in Aergo Capital, Avolon and AMCK. Donal brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role having worked within the aircraft leasing sector for the past 17 years. He will lead the continuous development of TEKaviation’s suite of lease management solutions and promote TEKaviation’s commitment to driving digital transformation from legacy systems to more efficient, cost effective and scalable technology.

Laura Vickers has been promoted to managing director of commercial lines in Ireland with global insurance broker Gallagher. Laura’s extensive industry expertise and exceptional track record across the entire spectrum of commercial insurance will enable Gallagher to address evolving regulatory landscapes and harness technological advancements. She has been director of commercial operations with the firm for the past year. Prior to that, she was director of consumer and affinity AON for five years. Laura holds a degree in Communications and a BA in Sociology & Geography, both from Maynooth University. “My focus will remain on strategic leadership to identify new market opportunities,” said Laura.

Elaine Carey has been appointed as CEO with telecoms firm Three Ireland. Currently chief commercial officer of Three Ireland and Three UK, she replaces Robert Finnegan, who is taking on a new role in CK Hutchison Group. Elaine first joined Three Ireland in 2007 as head of retail and has progressed through several roles within the business since then, including chief commercial officer in 2013 and expanded chief commercial officer role in Three UK in 2020. She will now lead Three Ireland’s products and propositions portfolio, overseeing its customer care teams, its retail footprint and e-commerce business. Elaine’s remit also covers Three’s sponsorships of 3Arena and 3Olympia.
