Business movers: People starting new jobs in Ireland

Here is a selection of people starting new roles with SR Technics, Aviva Insurance, Arthur Cox, National Treasury Management Agency, Killybegs Fishermen’s Organisation and Complete Laboratory Solutions.

Vincent Metz has been appointed as VP for business development in Europe with aviation MRO services provider SR Technics, and will grow the firm’s market share in Europe. He was previously VP of strategy, marketing, and communications with Air France. He possesses extensive experience in MRO, notably as director of component repair at KLM and product sales director for Air France Industries. He has also worked in MRO roles with Smart Airport Systems and later founded his consultancy firm Strategy2Fly. He was interim CTO at Ermewa (trains). He holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a Masters in Industrial Engineering and Management Science.

Claire Ryan has been appointed as head of accident and health at Aviva Insurance Ireland, where she will work across the personal and commercial insurance teams, bringing new products to consumer and business customers. Claire brings 20 years of experience in acquiring and managing global accounts, channel development and value-based solutions to optimise sales, growth and sustainable change in busy and challenging commercial environments. She joins Aviva from Europ Assistance (Generali) Paris where she was global head of sales since 2019. Her previous roles also include working as head of personal insurance at AIG MEA and as sales director at FCM MENA.

Geoff Moore has been reappointed as managing partner of law firm Arthur Cox for a second four-year term. He previously served as co-head of the firm’s Corporate/ M&A Group. From Cork, he graduated from UCC in 1996 and holds an MLitt from TCD. He joined Arthur Cox as a trainee in 1998. He worked in corporate finance in New York firm before returning to Arthur Cox and was made a partner in 2007. In recent years, he has advised on healthcare, pharma and financial services. He has advised on some of the most high-profile M&A deals in Irish corporate history.

Rachael Ingle has been appointed as the next chair of the National Treasury Management Agency, provider of asset and liability management services to Government. She succeeds Susan Web, former MD of Pfizer’s international treasury centre in Dublin, who has completed a 12-month term. Rachael has been on NTMA’s board since 2019. She is CEO of Aon in Ireland, head of the Nordics subregion and head of wealth solutions EMEA. She is an actuary by profession and is on Aon’s global executive leadership team, EMEA leadership team and the global inclusive leadership council. Rachael is also a former chair of the Irish Association of Pension Funds.

Dominic Rihan has been appointed as CEO of the Killybegs Fishermen’s Organisation. He was previously director of economic and strategic services with Bord Iascaigh Mhara, where he has worked for the past 34 years in the fields of fishing gear technology, stakeholder engagement and provision of policy support and advice to Government and the seafood industry. He also spent five years as a seconded national expert with the European Commission, DG MARE, dealing with the implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy. An expert in EU and national fisheries policy, he is also chair of the European Commission’s Scientific and Technical Committee.

Stephanie McCann has been appointed as commercial marketing manager with Complete Laboratory Solutions. She brings 15 years of experience in marketing and as an R&D scientist within in clinical and life sciences industries. She will now lead all marketing initiatives for CLS, implementing data-driven approaches and client-centric solutions to grow the business. She holds a degree in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics from University of Maryland and an MBA from HEC Paris. She worked with EU and US clients across industry sectors from start-ups to multinationals in a consultant capacity. CLS provides testing, quality assurance and analysts to medtech, pharma and other sectors.
