Business movers: People starting new jobs in Ireland

Here is a selection of people starting new roles with Irish Solar Energy Industry Association, NFP Ireland, Rotate, Urbeo, Sisk and Lakeland Dairies.

Declan Cullinane has been appointed as chair of the Irish Solar Energy Industry Association. The country manager for BayWa r.e. in Ireland, he will lead the ISEA as it works its main target to cover 20% of Ireland’s electricity demand by 2030 with solar power. With BayWa r.e. in Ireland, Declan’s focus is on utility scale development of solar, wind and storage. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has over 15 years’ experience in the design, commercial viability and construction of renewable energy projects across Europe, emerging markets and in Ireland. Declan has been on the board of ISEA since 2021.

Louise Gallagher has been promoted to operations director of specialty insurance broking and consulting firm NFP Ireland. Previously the firm’s head of client services, Louise will now oversee all NFP Ireland’s administration controls and procedures, and maintain her client relationships in the employee benefits space. NFP has recently expanded to a new head office based in the Blackrock Business Park, Co Dublin. NFP also continues to operate its existing locations in Dublin, including Grand Canal Dock and Malahide. “Being the first female director at NFP Ireland is a really proud achievement, and I’m incredibly excited for this new challenge,” said Louise.

Ryan Keyrouse has been appointed as CEO of Rotate, a software and strategy consulting company in the air cargo industry. A co-founder of Rotate, he steps into this role from outgoing CEO Gert-Jan Jansen, who will remain in the board as executive director and senior advisor for client engagements. Ryan brings over two decades of industry expertise, leading more than 50 air cargo strategy consulting projects across 30 countries. He has held key roles at Boeing and KPMG, and was MD at Seabury Cargo since 2010. Rotate provides software products, strategy consulting and market data to airlines, airports and other air cargo companies.

Anthony Sweetman has been appointed as managing partner with Urbeo, the Irish property investment platform. A partner and development director with Urbeo since 2019, he has overseen the acquisition and development of over 2,000 apartments in Ireland in the last five years and the stabilisation of the company’s operational portfolio. He has over 25 years’ industry experience in Ireland and internationally; he was previously head of business development at Rohan Holdings. Meanwhile, Teresa Flattery, a chartered accountant with 15 years’ experience in real estate, has been promoted to finance director, having been financial controller at Urbeo for the last five years.

John Hennessey has joined construction and engineering business Sisk as regional director in its data centre division. He joins from Stack Infrastructure where he served as construction director EMEA, responsible for the delivery of its data centre projects across Europe – Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. John brings nearly 40 years of experience delivering complex projects in Ireland, UK and across Europe, including more than 30 years in executive and lead roles. “Having worked closely with Sisk in the past, I can see great opportunities for Sisk to develop further in data centres sector across Ireland, UK and Europe,” John said.

Oliver McAllister has been appointed as chief financial officer with cross-border dairy co-op Lakeland Dairies, where he will lead the growth agenda. He brings over 20 years’ experience in finance and strategy. He joins from veterinary pharma firm Norbrook, where he was CFO. He worked in M&A with PwC before moving into agri-food finance roles with Dale Farm, Foyle Food Group and Norbrook. A native of Co Antrim, Oliver holds a BSc in Finance from Queen’s University, Belfast. He is a chartered accountant and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He lives in Co Fermanagh with his wife and three daughters.
