Capital Project Engineer - Construction

We are currently seeking a Capital Project Engineer - Construction to join our client's team at a leading FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) site based in Waterford. This is a 12-month contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing capital project function. 

THE ROLE:
* Deliver various facility/building/construction-related upgrade projects from initiation to handover.
* Manage all EHS requirements throughout the full life cycle of each project.
* Lead Constructability Reviews, Design Reviews, and Risk Assessments during the design phase.
* Provide input into IFT/IFC packages and assist with the procurement process.
* Supervise and manage contractors throughout the construction stage.
* Identify core project issues and develop mitigation plans.
* Participate in engineering team initiatives as required.
* Ensure compliance with company quality, engineering, and EHS standards throughout all phases of project delivery.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years’ project engineering/management experience with a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
* Chartered Engineer qualification is an advantage but not essential.
* NEBOSH International Construction Safety (or equivalent) is an advantage but not essential.
* Experience working on similar scale projects within a Regulated / GMP environment.
* Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Utility Systems.
