Construction Manager, Pharma (12M, Limerick)

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER, PHARMA required by CareerWise Recruitment for our multinational Biologics client at their facility in Limerick...initial 12 month contract on offer.

The CONSTRUCTION MANAGER, PHARMA will have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Construction, Civil or related field) and proven experience as a Construction Manager or Site Manager, ideally in the biopharma OR life sciences sector.

NOTE: No sponsorship is provided for this role so applicants need to already have Irish / EU citizenship OR the relevant Stamp / Visa in place.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards in line with company and statutory requirements.
• Demonstrate, promote and acknowledge positive behaviours to develop a proactive safety culture on site, Identify and prevent unsafe behaviors, defects.
• Coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Monitor progress, identify risks or delay, and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
• Prepare and present regular reports on site performance and progress.
• Review technical drawings and ensure site works align with design specifications and standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Construction, Civil or related field).
• Proven experience as a Construction Manager or Site Manager, ideally on ideally in the biopharma or life sciences sector.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to coordinate diverse teams.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and technical drawings.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster strong working relationships.
