Contract Manager

CareerWise Recruitment is partnering with a prominent Galway-based company to recruit a dynamic Contract Manager. This critical leadership role encompasses full operational oversight, strategic planning, and financial accountability, including profit and loss management.  The Contract Manager will oversee the planning, delivery, and performance of multiple operational sites. In this role, you will ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. You will also manage the financial performance of contracts, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to tender development.

THE ROLE:
* Lead, develop, and support your operational team while coordinating with HR, Safety, and other functions.
* Plan, schedule, and manage resources to deliver works efficiently across multiple sites.
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards, acting as Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) where required.
* Oversee all project documentation, reporting, invoicing, valuations, WIP and accruals.
* Drive strong financial performance through proactive cost control and accurate monthly reporting.
* Build and maintain positive customer relationships while expanding new business opportunities.
* Support tender preparation and contribute to technical development of services.
* Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:
* The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of leadership experience, ideally gained within road surfacing, contracting, or quarrying environments. They should have a strong understanding of contracting, estimating, project management, health & safety, and supplier/outsourcing management.
* A relevant undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or quantity surveying is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
