Contracts Manager

An experienced Contracts Manager is required by Careerwise recruitment to work with a leading Galway based construction industry related company working on nationwide projects.

THE ROLE:

* Manage the Human Resources within your team, liaising with the various support functions, e.g. HR and Safety etc.
* Programme and schedule works to maximise the efficiency of allocated recourses.
* Ensure preparation of relevant construction stage health and safety plans from
preliminary health and safety plans provided by client.
* Carry out regular inspections/audits on temporary traffic management.
* Ensure communication by supervisors/foremen of site inductions, method statements &
safe systems of work (SSWP) for all visitors, employees, contractors and suppliers visiting
site.
* Liaise with Operations Managers / Supervisors/ Foremen and ensure proper record
keeping for all aspects of the various projects

REQUIREMENTS:

* 5 years prior leadership experience, preferably in a road surfacing or contracting environment.

* An undergraduate degree in engineering construction management or quantity surveying.
* Knowledge of contracting, estimating, project management, health & safety, and outsourcing.

* Excellent Organisation and Time Management skills are necessary for the
effective running of multiple sites.
