EHS Specialist

An EHS Specialist is required by CareerWise Recruitment to join our Cork based Biopharma client . Role will provide EH&S project support to the Cork site Initial 12-month contract role on offer.

ROLE:

* Conduct EHS Impact Assessments (IA) as part of Management of Change process to ensure that all EHS requirements and company standards are incorporated.

* Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, 3D model reviews, JSAs, noise /IH/ergonomics / WRAPs (machine safety) assessments, FATs / SATs, and walkdowns as required.

* Support IA action closure & tracking

* Perform periodic walkdowns / audits / programme reviews to ensure compliance with PTW requirements, IED licence, SOPs & regulatory requirements.

* Collating and reporting of relevant metrics / KPIs

* Lead / participate in incident / accident investigations & root cause analyses (RCA).

REQUIREMENTS:

* A relevant L8 qualification in Science, Engineering or EHS.

* Circa 5 years’ relevant experience in a EHS role within Bio /Pharma industry or equivalent.

* Good overall knowledge of legal requirements and best practices in both Environment and Safety

* Creates dashboards, power-point presentations and can track and trend KPI’s, assembling information into clearly written reports, documented findings or recommendations and communicate this progress in easily understandable manner to all stakeholders.
