EHS Specialist

An EHS Specialist is required by CareerWise Recruitment to join our MN manufacturing client based in the South East. Role will provide EH&S operations and construction project support to the site.  Initial 12-month contract role on offer.

ROLE:

* Responsibility for contractor safety program on site.

* Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations.

* Undertake safety training and ensure awareness of safety protocols and emergency procedures

* Manage site Permit to work scheme 

* Collating and reporting of relevant metrics / KPIs

* Lead / participate in incident / accident investigations & root cause analyses (RCA)

REQUIREMENTS:

* A relevant L8 qualification in Science, Engineering or EHS.

* Circa 3 years’ relevant experience in construction safety or similar

* Good overall knowledge of legal requirements and best practices in both Environment and Safety

* Completion of IOSH – Safety in construction an advantage.
