An Engineering Maintenance Planner is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our multinational pharmaceutical client at their facility in Galway. This is a full time, on site, permanent position. 

The Engineering Maintenance Planner is responsible for organizing and scheduling all maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment, systems, and facilities to ensure operational efficiency, minimize downtime, and comply with regulatory standards, ensuring that maintenance tasks, whether preventive, corrective, or predictive, are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.

THE ROLE:

  • Develop, manage, and optimize the maintenance schedules for all equipment, systems, and facilities
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure timely completion
  • Work with production teams to align maintenance schedules with production demands and minimize disruptions
  • Ensure the availability of required resources, including labour, tools, spare parts, and equipment, for maintenance tasks
  • Work closely with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain inventory levels of spare parts and materials for routine maintenance
  • Create, prioritize, and track work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or other similar systems
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and modifications, to ensure compliance with GMP, HPRA, DEKRA, FDA regulations, and other relevant standards
  • Support audits and inspections by providing accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation and reports

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or a related field) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a maintenance planning or scheduling role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry
  • Experience with CMMS or similar maintenance management software.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Authorities, and other industry-specific standards.
  • Project Management skills, qualification an advantage
