Our client, a leading manufacturing and industrial organisation, is seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join their finance team in Galway. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to play a key role in business performance, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will partner with operational and commercial teams, produce accurate management accounts, and help drive financial control across the business.
THE ROLE:
* Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
* Deliver financial analysis and reporting against budgets and forecasts.
* Complete month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.
* Monitor costs, overheads, cash flow, and capital expenditure.
* Ensure compliance with financial controls, company policies, and statutory requirements.
* Partner with operational teams to provide meaningful financial insights.
* Develop KPI dashboards and management reporting.
* Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Lead and develop a small finance team.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* 3+ years' experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.
* Manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or construction sector experience desirable.
* Strong month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
* Excellent Excel and financial analysis skills.
* Experience with Power BI and ERP systems advantageous.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
