Manufacturing Engineer

An experienced Manufacturing Engineer is required by Careerwise recruitment to work with our Galway based manufacturing client.

THE ROLE:

* Responsible for New Production Introduction (NPI) implementing the manufacturing process for volume production.

* Lead on internal manufacturing processes/projects using Project execution methodologies and good manufacturing practices.
* Communicating with internal and external customers informing on project status updates, identifying risks and mitigation plans.
* Operating within company Quality Management system executing on good manufacturing practices and support audit readiness.
* Engage and champion a Continuous Improvement mindset, driving improvements across all metrics.
* Assist Business development function with the quotation process as required.
* Maintenance of Bill of Materials actioning customer change requests, updates and EOL scenarios.
* Support re-layout of production floors as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Level 8 Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering Qualification.
* Demonstrable capacity, capability and desire to learn new manufacturing processes and techniques that may be outside of the candidate’s current experience. This role provides significant personal and professional development opportunity.
* Proficient in LEAN and Six Sigma Tools and techniques – Green belt or equivalent level of experience driving improvements.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment.
