Process Design Engineer

We are currently seeking a Process design Engineer to join our client's team at a leading FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) site based in Waterford. This is a 12-month contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing Engineering Team. 

THE ROLE:
* This role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and optimization of process equipment and systems to ensure efficient and reliable operations.  This role works on projects from concept through to implementation and handover. This role collaborates with various functions to deliver innovative solutions that meet both company and industry standards.
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
* Knowledge of process industry standards and regulations.
* Experience with automation and robotics in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Experience with process simulation and optimization tools.
* Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
* 3- 5 years of experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment preferably focusing on process equipment.
* Strong leadership skills, In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and safety regulations.
