Process Engineer required by CareerWise Recruitment for our composite materials client in County Clare.
We are seeking a Process Engineer to drive process performance, productivity, and customer- facing outcomes within our manufacturing operation.
Responsibilities:
- Act as process owner for assigned manufacturing processes and plant operations
- Drive improvements in process capability, yield, throughput, and consistency
- Ensure processes consistently meet customer specifications and performance requirements
- Provide hands-on technical support to operations, resolving process issues that impact delivery or product quality
- Lead root cause analysis of process-related customer complaints, deviations, and recurring losses
- Understand process risk management and the process based approach to quality and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ultimately improve productivity and customer outcomes
- Support change management (MOC) to ensure process changes do not negatively impact customers
- Partner closely with Quality on deviations, investigations, and customer-related CAPA
- Analyse process data and trends to proactively prevent customer-impacting issues
- Support scale-up, optimisation, and introduction of process changes aligned to customer & operational needs
- Support and coordinate the implementation of relevant capital investment programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5–9 years’ experience in a process engineering role within manufacturing or chemical environments
- Strong experience supporting operations-facing manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of improving process capability, yield, and delivery performance
- Experience investigating and resolving customer-impacting process issues
- Strong root cause analysis and data-driven problem-solving skills
- Engineering, science, or related third-level qualification
- Comfortable working closely with operations and customer-facing teams
- Practical, commercially aware engineering mindset What’s on Offer:
