Process Engineer - Sustainability

CareerWise is seeking a skilled Process Engineer (Sustainability) to join our client's team at a leading chemical company based in North Cork. Working in a highly regulated environment (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO50001 and Ecovadis Certifications), the focus of this role will be on maintaining the production process and managing sustainability initiatives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing engineering solutions to support, develop, and enhance both existing and new manufacturing processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency and quality of operations, involving process support, troubleshooting, optimisation, quality management, training, and the introduction of new products.

THE ROLE:
* Production & Sustainability: - responsible for all sustainability reporting and working to keep the production process running efficiently. Respond to any process, quality, or equipment breakdown or failure, and work with the onsite mechanical and electrical teams to solve issues immediately.
* Process Improvement & Projects: - Suggest potential process improvements, produce project plans and capital budgets, and implement and control projects.* Quality & Safety Compliance: - Manage and update quality management (Paradigm) systems as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Education: A Level 8 Honours Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar qualification.
* Experience: A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a chemical or similar process environment.
* Technical Skills: - Strong knowledge of GMP manufacturing best practice systems.
