A Project Control Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Waterford based pharmaceutical client. This is a 12-month contracting position. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and performance reporting to ensure projects are executed on time, within scope, and within budget
THE ROLE:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Work closely with project managers to define project scope, milestones, resource needs, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project cost estimates, budgets, cash flows, and forecasts.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project dashboards, KPI reports, Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics, and progress analyses.
- Present project performance summaries to leadership, highlighting risks, issues, and mitigation actions.
- Identify schedule and cost risks; support quantitative and qualitative risk assessments.
- Evaluate the impact of change requests; update forecasts and schedules accordingly.
- Ensure adherence to change control procedures in line with pharmaceutical compliance requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
- 3–5years of experience in project controls, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing sector.
- Experience working on capital projects, facility upgrades, automation, or equipment installations is a plus.
- Proficiency in project controls software (Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills desirable
