Quality Engineer

A QUALITY ENGINEER is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our multinational medical device client in Athlone for a fulltime, on-site role on an initial 12-month contract.

The QUALITY ENGINEER will provide day to day manufacturing support and collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

THE ROLE:

• Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
• Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
• Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
• Design/Author/Review/Approve/Execute qualification/validation documentation and cycle development studies in line with the standard approval process.
• Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors Degree (Level 8) in a relevant Science, Engineering or other technical discipline.
• 2+ years’ experience in a medical devices or related environment desirable.
• MES (Manufacturing Execution System) experience an advantage.
