Senior EHS Manager

CareerWise Recruitment is currently recruiting a Senior EHS Manager for our Medical Device client based in Cork.

This is a high-impact, site-wide leadership position within a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Going far beyond traditional operational safety, the role acts as a strategic partner to Advanced Operations and R&D, enabling the safe integration of next-generation technologies and advanced manufacturing systems.

As a key member of the site leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving innovation, strengthening risk management frameworks, and ensuring regulatory excellence within one of the most technologically advanced medical device manufacturing environments in the industry.

THE ROLE:

* Maintain and continuously enhance the EHS Management System in line with corporate standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring all policies, procedures, and documentation remain current and audit-ready.
* Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive EHS training programmes, including site inductions and role-specific modules, to build organisational capability and ensure compliance.
* Lead structured EHS inspections and audit programmes to evaluate system effectiveness, identify gaps, and drive timely corrective and preventive actions.
* Prepare and present EHS performance reports and metrics for internal leadership and external stakeholders, providing clear insights and recommendations.
* Serve as the site subject matter expert on EHS matters.


REQUIREMENTS:
* Third level Degree qualification in EHS, Engineering or Science discipline or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
* A proven track record of success as an EHS Manager in a large Medical Device (or related industry) manufacturing facility is desirable.
* Ongoing professional development in the area of EHS desirable
* 6+ years’ experience in a EHS manufacturing environment or equivalent (6 years minimum within an engineering or science-related role)
