Senior Equipment Engineer

A Senior Equipment Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our multinational medical device client in Galway for an initial 12-month contract, on site role.

The Senior Equipment Engineer will oversee the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

THE ROLE:

• Evaluates, selects and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.
• Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.
• Studies equipment performance and reliability.
• Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
• Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
• Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree L8 in Engineering/Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4+ years in the medical device industry.
