Senior Manufacturing Engineer

A Senior Manufacturing is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Galway based startup medical device company. They are developing next-generation technology to improve patient outcomes. THE ROLE:

• Develop and implement robust manufacturing processes for new medical device products.

• Work closely with R&D to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability.

• Support the transition from prototype builds to commercial production.

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes as production scales.

• Define equipment requirements and write User Requirement Specifications (URS).

• Partner with automation vendors to develop, install, and qualify new equipment.

• Design and run Design of Experiments (DOE) to characterize and optimize processes.

• Lead process validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).

• Troubleshoot and continuously improve manufacturing performance.

• Serve as the technical lead with equipment vendors and suppliers.

• Manage equipment development from concept through FAT, SAT, installation, and qualification.

• Solve problems quickly with external partners as production ramps.

• Support manufacturing scale-up in a growing start-up environment.

• Introduce processes and equipment that support higher production volumes and improved efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years experience in manufacturing or process engineering in the medical device industry.

• Experience developing new manufacturing processes or supporting product launch/NPI.

• Experience working in fast-paced or start-up environments is highly valued.

• Design of Experiments (DOE)

• Process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)

• Writing User Requirement Specifications (URS)

• Manufacturing equipment and automation development

• Working with external equipment vendors and suppliers
