Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager required for Electronics client in Co. Clare.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and tactical leadership for engineering, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Ensure full compliance with MIL-PRF-19500/MIL-STD-750 DLA requirements and AS9100/ISO14001 standards
- Oversee engineering efforts spanning electronics, mechanical, and chemical disciplines to improve delivery success, reduce costs, ensure compliance, and lower RMA rates.
- Act as a core contributor within the Senior Management Team, providing insight on organizational analysis and advancement initiatives.

- H&S Steering Committee
- Automation & Digitalisation projects

- Lead, coach, and mentor the engineering team, developing talent pipelines and ensuring high performance.
- Partner with global divisions and suppliers to share best practices and leverage cutting-edge test and screening equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Ireland’s Quality Manual, government specifications, and in-house procedures.
- Drive automation, digitalisation, and Industry 4.0 initiatives, combining mechanical, electrical, and software principles.
- Oversee equipment appraisal and investment to support standardisation, safety, and quality improvements.
- Contribute to sustainability and ESG initiatives, focusing on energy efficiency and environmental impact reduction.
- Provide engineering support to Tactical Marketing, Planning, and other business units.
- Manage budgets, capital expenditure proposals, and ROI justifications for engineering initiatives.
- Champion risk management and change management programs across engineering and operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in Electronics, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of engineering experience, roles within highly regulated industries (semiconductors, medical device, aerospace, etc.).
- Proven leadership and managerial skills, with a successful track record of leading cross-functional engineering teams.
- Drive a positive team culture focused on accountability, growth, continuous improvement initiatives, performance management and building team capabilities.
- Solid grounding in electronic and mechanical fundamentals with a hands-on, practical approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, adapt to change, and deliver under pressure.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical/problem-solving skills, and logical decision-making.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP/MES or PLM systems.
- Knowledge of DLA, ISO, and AS standards
