Strategic Sourcing Specialist

A Strategic Sourcing Specialist is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our multinational medical device client in Galway for a hybrid role on an initial 12-month contract.

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for the daily operations and support to hiring managers, Human Resources, finance leaders and their global peers by working in a cross-functional team.  This position will have daily interaction with suppliers; supplier relationship management is a critical responsibility.

THE ROLE:

• Responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycle for specified category of contingent labour spend.
• Responds to and resolves operating issues, escalates to Program Leaders as necessary.
• Understands the goals of the program, and makes recommendations to Hiring Managers based on industry knowledge.
• Provide support and training to Hiring Managers through the entire Procure to Pay process related to Contingent Workers.
• Facilitate Q&A sessions between suppliers and Hiring Managers on requisitions as needed.
• Negotiate rates with Suppliers to obtain fair market price for each position via a competitively bid program model.
• Manage On/Off Boarding process and facilitate assignment changes (including extensions, transfers, backfills, etc.).

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or similar field.
• 4+ years’ experience in a similar position.
• Experience in Staffing, Recruiting or Contingent workforce management.
• You must have a current visa to work in Ireland to be eligible for this position.
