About the Role

CEM Services is seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to join our existing project team at a major petrochemical plant in East Cork. This is a hands-on supervisory role, ideal for a motivated individual with strong civil engineering experience who can lead site teams, ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site operations and site personnel
  • Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements
  • Manage subcontractors and direct labour on site
  • Enforce high standards of health & safety, ensuring all works comply with company and regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with Site Managers, Engineers, and Project Managers to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Monitor productivity and quality of workmanship
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports and progress updates
  • Ensure materials, plant, and equipment are used efficiently and responsibly

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Civil Foreman or in a similar supervisory role
  • Strong background in civil engineering works (e.g. drainage, groundworks, utilities, roadworks, concrete works)
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates (additional tickets an advantage)
  • Full, clean driving licence

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience working on Irish civil engineering projects
  • First Aid, CSCS, or other relevant certifications
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on site
