Cork ARC Cancer Support House is seeking to appoint a CEO. This dynamic role is an opportunity for an experienced candidate to apply their talents to make a real difference in society and to be an integral part of the leading cancer support organisation across Cork City and County.
· Principle duties and responsibilities: Act as the Public Head of Cork ARC Cancer Support House CLG in its dealings with the public, stakeholders and Government bodies.
· Lead the organisation’s teams in Services, Fundraising & Volunteers to ensure the goals and vision of the organisation as set out by the Board are met.
· Lead the development of the organisation’s strategies both long-and short-term.
· Develop and lead the implementation of the organisation’s fundraising, marketing and business development plans and activities.
· Ensure good governance and compliance with the requirements of relevant
· monitoring bodies (HSE, NCCP, Charities Regulator, HSA, etc.)
Qualifications or experience required for the role:
· Minimum of 4+ years’ experience leading a team to deliver measurable results
· Ability to implement change
· Relevant third level qualification
· Experience in positively engaging with stakeholders within and external to the organisation
· Experience of positively managing and resolving conflicts
· Experience of managing a range of services within a budget, budget planning, management and review
· Experience of risk management
· Understanding of the importance of compliance and good corporate governance
