I am currently working on behalf of a leading government agency to recruit an Administrator to join their Lifesciences–Medical Technology team in Athlone. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills

In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting high-quality job creation and foreign direct investment, working closely with both national and global teams. You’ll provide high-level support to the Department Manager and Project Team, helping to drive strategic initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Department Manager, including diary management, event coordination, logistics, marketing materials, and CRM system updates.
  • Support Project Executives and Management in collating key data and performance metrics.
  • Assist in the creation of high-quality presentations and marketing collateral.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting across internal systems.
  • Actively contribute to an inclusive and respectful workplace, promoting work-life balance and upholding the organisation’s values of Enterprise, Inclusive, Resourceful, and Empowering (EIRE).
  • Participate in ongoing learning and development, including performance reviews and internal training.
  • Take on additional administrative and support tasks as required, showing flexibility and initiative.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and confident using CRM systems and social media platforms.
  • A third-level qualification or progression towards one is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally work outside standard office hours.
  • A full driving licence is desirable.
  • Strong relationship-building and client service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High attention to detail and personal effectiveness
  • Organisational and time-management skills
  • Creativity and the ability to work proactively on projects
