Area Sales Manager
Our client, a food retail, wholesale, and foodservice company in the Tipperary area, is seeking an Area Sales Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple convenience store in the Nenagh & Ballina area, ensuring each location meets company standards and performance targets.
The Role:
As Area Sales Manager, you will be working with one of Ireland’s most reputable employers with responsibilities to include:
· Lead, coach, and support the Store Managers to deliver strong operational results and exceptional customer service
· Drive sales, profitability, and KPI performance across all sites
· Monitor and improve store standards, compliance, merchandising, and presentation.
· Analyse store performance reports and implement improvement strategies where required
· Support recruitment, training, and succession planning within the region
· Ensure strong stock control, waste management, and cost efficiencies across stores.
· Lead the execution of promotional activity, seasonal events, and new initiatives
· Maintain full compliance with health & safety, food safety, HR policies, and all operational procedures
· Act as a key link between senior leadership and store teams, promoting a positive and performance-driven culture
Skills & Experience that we need:
· Proven experience as an Area Manager, Regional Manager, or senior multi-site manager within convenience, grocery, or forecourt retail- Essential
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop Store Managers and their teams
· Excellent commercial awareness with experience driving KPIs, margins, and operational standards
· Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple stores and priorities across a broad region
· Exceptional communication and people skills
· A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving ability
· Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel throughout the Munster region
The Offer:
This a permanent full-time role, with negotiable salary that will depend on the experience and qualifications of the candidate but is expected to be in region of €50K - €60K per annum, plus bonus/ KPI, excellent benefits package to include fuel allowance and pension contribution.
Candidates must be accessible or a short commute to the Tipperary / Nenagh/ Ballina area, be available to interview in person and must have management experience within the FMCG industry.
