NEW BUSINESS ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
My client, a global leader in enterprise application software, is seeking a New Business Account Executive to drive net-new revenue across the Services sector, focusing on Public Sector, Hi-Tech, and Insurance clients. The role is based remotely anywhere in Ireland, with significant travel required. You will own the full sales cycle — from building an initial pipeline to closing complex deals supported by a BDR team in mainland Europe and an established partner ecosystem. Joining a high-performing team of 8–9 peers, you’ll manage a comparable territory and quota, with an annual revenue target of approximately €2.5 million. Typical pipeline build-cycles range from 6–9 months, with deal closures in 3–12 months. This position suits a commercially driven, self-starting professional with ERP or SaaS sales experience and the ability to thrive in a complex, consultative environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline from zero, executing targeted territory plans and segmenting roughly 1,000 accounts into actionable prospects.
- Generate new opportunities through direct outreach, collaboration with BDRs, and partner channels.
- Develop and execute campaigns and go-to-market strategies to maximise territory coverage.
- Lead opportunities from qualification to close, leveraging presales and solution experts to craft compelling proposals.
- Maintain accurate pipeline data, forecasting, and CRM hygiene while applying digital sales motions to drive efficiency.
- Engage customers through value-based selling, ensuring their needs are met and business outcomes delivered.
- Collaborate internally and externally to enhance execution and continually develop expertise in ERP, Cloud, AI, and process automation.
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in new-business, quota-carrying software or technology sales.
- Demonstrated success in pipeline creation and closing complex B2B deals.
- Experience collaborating with partners and BDR or inside-sales teams.
- ERP, SaaS, or digital-transformation sales background preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- High energy, resilience, and a self-driven approach.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Ireland.
Desirable
- Experience with vendors such as Oracle, Workday, Microsoft, Infor, Epicor, or DocuSign.
- Background in startup or high-growth technology environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise cloud transformation or “RISE-style” programs advantageous.
