Overview
An exciting opportunity to join a leading global professional services firm as a Corporate Tax M&A Senior Manager / Director. This role involves providing strategic tax advice and support across all aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and legal document review.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure tax-efficient transaction structures, compliance with relevant tax legislation, and delivery of high-quality advisory services.
Core Responsibilities
M&A Tax Advisory & Execution
- Lead and manage tax due diligence projects for M&A transactions
- Provide tax advice on transaction structuring, highlighting risks, opportunities, and tax implications
- Review legal documentation to ensure tax compliance and optimisation
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Financial Due Diligence and other tax teams) for seamless transaction execution
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on tax matters
- Attend client meetings and provide guidance on tax strategy and decision-making
- Mentor and support junior team members, providing training and professional development
Regulatory & Technical Expertise
- Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on M&A activities
- Ensure all tax advice and project deliverables meet professional and regulatory standards
- Apply deep technical knowledge to manage complex tax projects effectively
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Significant experience in corporate tax, with a focus on M&A transactions
- Proven track record in managing complex tax projects and transactions
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to assess and mitigate tax risks while identifying opportunities
