We're working with one of the largest financial services companies in the country to source top ranked Senior Data Engineers. The chosen few will get the opportunity to work on global initiatives, across globally distributed teams. 

The successful candidate will work with over 150 different data platforms that are utilized by our client's application portfolio.

This is a hands-on role where you will understand the requirements, contribute to the development of specific product features including provisioning of datasets, develop consumption interfaces, build reusable components and resilient cloud-based services, provide insights etc. for our Investment Professionals.

What You'll Need

• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL

• Expertise in data analysis

• Experience in SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning

• Exposure to Agile development practices

The Skills You Bring

• Familiarity with logical data modelling and relational database design

• Data movement and ETL experience would be beneficial (preferably Informatica)

• Whilst the role is database focused, some experience in any of the following would be a plus:

Object-Oriented Software development with an understanding of associated development languages,

specifically Java and/or Python, Spring boot plus familiarity with ORM frameworks

• Working experience with some or all of the following would be advantageous: AWS, Containerization, associated build and deployment CI/CD pipelines, Lambda development.

• Unix scripting and AutoSys skills would be a plus

• Data Warehousing knowledge would be advantageous

• Snowflake experience would also be advantageous

• Design of REST APIs and an understanding of microservice architectures and twelve factor application development would be a plus

• Experience with a source control system

• Ability to work with project teams located in multiple geographic locations
