Are you a skilled Maintenance or Facilities Technician looking for a role where you can take ownership, work on a wide variety of equipment, and be the go-to expert on site? We're hiring an experienced Facilities & Maintenance Technician to support a regulated production environment at our Galway facility.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving a highly regulated manufacturing site, ensuring equipment, utilities, and facilities operate smoothly. This is a hands-on position where you’ll work closely with the Site Lead and Production team to troubleshoot issues, support production uptime, and carry out both planned and reactive maintenance.

What You’ll Do

  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment, utilities, and site facilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
  • Manage equipment servicing schedules and documentation
  • Perform calibrations and support validation activities
  • Support utilities such as compressed air, RO/mains water, and air handling systems
  • Coordinate with third-party contractors when required
  • Implement improvements to enhance reliability, safety, and efficiency
  • Handle minor facilities work (e.g., small repairs, hardware fixes, painting)
  • Ensure compliance with all site Health & Safety and Quality requirements

What You Bring

  • Electrical or Mechanical Trade Qualification or relevant technical diploma
  • Strong hands-on experience in equipment maintenance within manufacturing, field service, or production environments
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems
  • Experience diagnosing faults and delivering effective solutions
  • Ability to work independently and support a small, collaborative site team
  • Proactive approach with strong organisation and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with HVAC systems or cleanroom environments
  • Calibration or validation experience
  • Computer literacy / familiarity with maintenance systems

If you’re a Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician, Field Service Engineer, or a trades professional looking to move into a stable on-site role, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now or reach out directly for a confidential discussion. Emily.Blinkhorn@cpl.ie
