Our client, a leading employer and laboratory business in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary are currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety professional to join their well-established organisation operating across multiple regulated sites within a laboratory/technical environment.

The Role
This is a key role where you will take ownership of the HSE function, driving compliance, safety culture, and continuous improvement across all operations.
Key Responsibilities to include:
Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in line with legislation and industry standards
Manage risk assessments, HSE registers, audits, and statutory documentation
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure full compliance across all locations
Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented
Monitor HSE performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Oversee safety training programmes for employees and contractors Support emergency response planning and business continuity processes
Ensure accurate reporting and maintenance of all HSE records
Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders on compliance matters
Skills & Qualifications that we need:
Formal qualification in Health & Safety
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HSE role (laboratory/regulated environment preferred)
Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Full clean driving licence
