Role: Systems Analyst

The Systems Analyst will work in the Technology, Platforms and Solutions directorate and will play a key role in understanding business requirements and translating them into technical specifications, playing a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions.
Your Professional Fundamentals:
· Analytical Thinking - Ability to analyse complex problems and develop effective solutions. Evaluate information and assumptions critically to make well-informed technical decisions.
· Technical Acumen - Strong understanding of the different technology layers, from infrastructure to database layer to software applications layer. Proficiency in relevant programming languages and tools.
· Business Acumen- Develop deep understanding of business processes and how they align with technology systems.
· Strong communication skills - Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa. Strong skills in writing technical documentation reports in a clear transparent manner.
· Relationship Management – Maintains and improves relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities:
· Be involved in all aspects of the design of IT solutions.
· Gain a good understanding of the business operations and systems.
· Meet with project stakeholders to gather, analyse and translate business and technical requirements into documentation that can be understood by all relevant stakeholders.
· Create artefacts to support project delivery, including user stories, documentation, diagrams, models and other relevant analysis outputs.
· Review third-party artefacts and provide appropriate feedback to the
· Solution Architect or other relevant parties.
· Provide support to the Development and QA teams.
· Provide support to the Solution Architect in developing and documenting the Technical Architecture.
· Work with the Solution Architect to determine technical solutions and ensure that they meet business requirements.
· Provide input to project and resource planning, budgeting, and implementation.
Your Experience:
• Experience gathering user requirements and translating them into user stories, including the quality criteria used to ensure that user stories are clear, testable and aligned to business needs.
• Experience developing project artefacts, including Data Dictionaries, API Guides, Release Notes etc.
• Experience documenting best practices and procedure in relation to the Systems Analyst role.
• Experience providing support to Solution Architect / Technical
Architect in defining and documenting the Technical Architecture for solutions being delivered.
• Experience reviewing third-party artefacts, providing appropriate feedback to the Solution Architect / Technical Architect or other parties.
• Experience providing support to Development and QA teams during the development and testing of solutions.
• Knowledge of databases including Relational Data Design, using technologies such as MySQL, MariaDB, MS SQL.
• Knowledge of widely used text formats, such as JSON and XML.
• Strong communication skills, in both technical and non-technical environments.
• Ability to quickly research and learn new technologies, tools, and techniques
