Key Account Manager
Our client, a leading laboratory business based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, is seeking an enthusiastic and commercially focused Key Account Manager to join their dynamic team.

The Role
As Key Account Manager, you will manage and develop key client relationships, ensuring the business remains the testing partner of choice within the food laboratory sector. Key responsibilities will include:
• Responding to customer queries and requests for quotations in a timely and professional manner
• Managing key accounts from both a technical and commercial perspective
• Building and developing strong customer relationships by gaining a deep understanding of each client’s requirements
• Maintaining strong internal relationships across teams and all areas of operations
• Completing tenders for new business opportunities
• Managing price lists, implementing price modification plans, and completing account pricing reviews and negotiations
• Supporting internal customers with pricing requests and related commercial queries
• Supporting the internal management team on both pricing and technical matters
• Keeping up to date with industry and legislative developments, as well as changes within the wider group
• Identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities
• Meeting sales targets and reporting into the sales group
• Collaborating with global colleagues on international tendering opportunities
• Developing and executing sales, business development, and account development plans for selected key accounts
• Managing and mentoring the Junior Key Account Team
Skills & Experience Required
• Previous technical or scientific background is advantageous
• Previous experience in the food industry is desirable
• Experience in client sales is essential
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to persuade, inform, and negotiate effectively
• Previous management experience is desirable
• Proficient IT skills
• A curious and solutions-focused approach
• A determined and tenacious mindset
• A meticulous and methodical approach to work
The Offer
This is a permanent role based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, offering an excellent negotiable salary depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
A full clean driving licence is essential, along with the willingness and ability to travel to client and customer sites as required.
