The Line Maintenance Manager is responsible for:

 

·      The overall management of the Line Maintenance Department under EASA Part 145;

·      Notifying the Accountable Manager whenever deficiencies emerge which require his attention in respect of finance and the acceptability of standards.

·      Ensure Safety Management System reports are review and processed IAW procedures;

·      The implementation of the safety policy and human factor issues;

·      Identification/implementation of Root Cause, Corrective and Preventive Actions

·      or any compliance deficiencies arising from audits;

·      Ensuring that all line maintenance including line defect rectification is carried out to the standards specified.

·      Ensuring that the organisation's procedures and standards are complied with when carrying out maintenance;

·      The availability of sufficient competent personnel to plan, perform, supervise, inspect and certify the work being performed;

·      Ensuring the competency of all personnel engaged in maintenance;

·      Establishing a program of training and continuation training using internal and/or external sources;

·      The availability of facilities appropriate to the planned work including hangars, workshops office accommodation, stores as applicable for the planned work;

·      Production planning system appropriate to the amount and complexity of the maintenance scope of work;

·      The availability of tools, equipment and materials to perform the planned tasks;

·      The availability of all necessary maintenance data;

·      Recording and notifying any inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous procedure, practice information or maintenance instruction contained in the maintenance data used by maintenance personnel;

·      Qualifications for the position

·      At least 5 years relevant work experience in the aeronautical industry in an appropriate

·      position.

·      A relevant aeronautical degree or aircraft maintenance technician qualification (EASA Part

·      66 License)

·      Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe

·      operating practices.

·      Knowledge of the aircraft through formalised training courses.

·      Knowledge of maintenance methods.

·      Knowledge of applicable regulations both EASA and UK CAA.
