Tharstern MIS Ownership and Optimisation

A critical aspect of this role will be to take full ownership of our Tharstern Print MIS system, which is currently under-utilised. The new Operations/Production Manager will be expected to:

Act as the primary owner of Tharstern within the business, ensuring it is used effectively across all relevant departments.

Maintain and update pricing tables, machine capabilities, and workflow configurations so that the system accurately reflects our operations.

Map existing production processes into Tharstern, ensuring jobs are correctly routed from estimating through production and delivery.

Champion internal adoption by training staff, enforcing consistent use, and embedding Tharstern into daily workflows.

Use Tharstern’s reporting and dashboard tools to monitor job progress, resource utilisation, and profitability, and recommend improvements.

Leverage Tharstern to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve efficiency in scheduling, costing, and production.

Work with suppliers, pre-press, and production teams to ensure Tharstern integrates effectively with machinery, workflows, and other business systems.

We are particularly interested in candidates who combine strong people management skills with a track record of driving operational improvements in a print production environment, and ideally with prior experience in Tharstern or a similar Print MIS/ERP platform.
