Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Lead to take ownership of operational delivery and optimisation of energy management solutions within an industrial and engineering-focused environment.

Reporting to the Director (Ireland), this is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, improving service delivery, and ensuring successful execution of complex energy management projects for industrial manufacturing clients.

The successful candidate will bring strong experience in operations, project management, and team leadership within consultancy, engineering, or industrial environments, with a passion for sustainability, efficiency, and innovation.

This is a hybrid role based in Limerick, offering flexibility alongside collaboration with on-site teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business objectives and industry best practices
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of energy management solutions for industrial clients
  • Define, track, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational effectiveness
  • Identify inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives

Energy Management & Project Delivery

  • Lead operational initiatives focused on improving energy efficiency in manufacturing environments
  • Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to optimise energy performance strategies
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, environmental, and sustainability standards
  • Support delivery of technical consultancy and project execution activities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Support professional development and capability building within the team
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven culture

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key operational contact for industrial clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners
  • Oversee contract delivery, vendor coordination, and procurement activities
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and service quality

Financial & Resource Management

  • Manage operational budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery of services
  • Optimise resource allocation to support business priorities and growth
  • Support financial forecasting and planning activities in collaboration with finance teams

Technology & Innovation

  • Leverage digital tools including IoT, data analytics, and automation to improve operations
  • Stay current with emerging trends in energy efficiency and industrial sustainability
  • Support digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational performance

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in an operations leadership role within engineering, consultancy, industrial manufacturing, or energy-related sectors
  • Strong background in project delivery, process optimisation, and operational management
  • Experience in energy management or sustainability-focused environments is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness, including budgeting and cost control
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
