About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a dynamic manufacturing operation in Shannon. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, driving operational performance, and leading teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
The successful candidate will be a strong people leader with a passion for continuous improvement and a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop production employees to achieve high levels of performance and engagement
Provide visible leadership and direction on the production floor
Manage employee scheduling, attendance, performance, and disciplinary matters
Coordinate and optimise production flow to maximise output and efficiency
Identify and address production bottlenecks and performance gaps
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and cost reduction
Implement and sustain 6S workplace organisation standards
Ensure production schedules are achieved and customer delivery requirements are met
Facilitate effective communication between shifts and departments
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Maintain accurate production and operational reporting
About You
Previous experience in a Production Supervisor, Team Lead, Shift Manager, or similar manufacturing leadership role
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, and workflow management
Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong focus on safety, quality, and operational performance
Experience working in a unionised environment is advantageous but not essential
Relevant qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline is desirable
