Sales Development Manager - Limerick

Our client is a well-established builders providers serving the construction and DIY sectors across Munster for over 90 years. They pride themselves on offering a comprehensive range of high-quality building materials, home improvement products, and expert advice to both trade professionals and homeowners.

They are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Development Manager to join their busy team in Charleville, and to be based in the Limerick area. This is a key position responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and driving sales growth across our range of building materials.

The Role:

 Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager / Branch Manager, the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction industry, proven sales experience, and the ability to build lasting partnerships with trade professionals and contractors.

Key responsibilities will include:

·      Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and achieve revenue targets within the Limerick region

·      Identify and pursue new business opportunities with builders, contractors, developers, and other trade customers

·      Manage existing customer accounts to ensure high levels of satisfaction, repeat business, and loyalty

·      Work closely with branch and commercial teams to coordinate pricing, stock availability, and delivery schedules

·      Prepare sales reports and performance updates for management

Skills & Experience that we need:

·      Proven experience in sales or business development within the building materials, construction supply, or related trade sector

·      Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate effectively and close deals

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels

·      Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently in the field

·      Good organisational skills and attention to detail

·      Full, clean driving licence required.

·      Must be based in the Limerick area and commutable distance to Charleville for meetings.

This role is offered on a permanent basis with a very competitive salary per annum, depending on the candidate’s experience, plus bonus, company vehicle, expenses, and excellent benefits package.
