Sales Executive

Our client a long-established and trusted power tool, hardware and DIY retailer based in Limerick city, is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Sales Executive to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with retail, trade counter or sales experience to build a long-term career in a specialist hardware, tools and trade supply environment 

About the Role:

This is a hands-on retail and trade counter sales role, supporting both trade customers and the general public. The ideal candidate will be working with power tools, hardware, machinery, fixings and DIY products, and helping customers to select the right products for their projects.

Key Responsibilities to include

·      Serving customers at the trade counter and retail counter

·      Advising customers on power tools, hand tools, hardware, fixings and DIY equipment

·      Processing sales, including cash, card and account transactions

·      Managing trade counter enquiries in person, by phone and by email

·      Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked retail and trade counter area

·      Assisting with stock control, deliveries and goods-in

·      Supporting the wider retail and sales team to ensure smooth daily operations

Skills & Experience that we need:

·      Previous recent experience in customer facing sales in retail sales, trade counter sales, hardware, tools or builders’ merchants

·      Proven ability to build and to grow relationships with trades people

·      Proven history on achieving targets and delivering results

·      Excellent IT and administration skills

·      Customer-focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills

·      Reliable, organised and comfortable working in a busy retail environment

·      Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge in power tools and hardware

The Offer:

This is a permanent fully onsite role, based in Limerick city, to include weekend work, with salary range depending on the candidates experience but is expected to be in the range of €30K - €35K per annum.

Hours of work: Monday to Saturday 8.30am – 5.30pm (5 days per week)

This is a fully onsite role based in Limerick city so candidates should be based locally or a commutable distance.

Candidates without the relevant visa/work permit or eligibility to work permanently in Ireland will not be considered.
