Audit Assistant Manager – Cork or Limerick

Location: Cork or Limerick, Ireland
The Role
A growing accounting and advisory practice is seeking a Qualified or Newly Qualified Accountant to step into an Audit Assistant Manager role. This position offers responsibility for leading audit engagements, managing client relationships, and supporting the development of junior audit staff across a varied client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver audit engagements from planning through completion
- Prepare and review audit files in line with International Standards on Auditing
- Prepare audit workpapers and support audit reporting
- Conduct process walkthroughs, controls testing, and risk assessments
- Identify control weaknesses and make practical client recommendations
- Participate in client meetings and presentations
- Supervise, coach, and develop junior audit staff
- Manage audit budgets and report audit matters to partners and managers
Requirements
- Newly qualified or part-qualified ACA / ACCA / CPA with 2–3 years’ practice experience
- Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and Companies Act 2014
- Audit experience essential
- Consolidation and group accounts experience advantageous
