As a Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing software architecture strategies that support Fiserv’s business objectives. Your expertise will ensure the robustness, scalability, and security of our software systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy software architecture solutions that meet the evolving needs of the financial services industry.

What you will do: 

• Translate business objectives into solution blueprints that guide downstream teams to deliver exceptional product capabilities.
• Solve complex client problems in a way that delivers strategic business outcomes
• Identify and champion the adoption of new core capabilities and influence technology selection processes
• Become an expert on Fiserv's business capabilities and how to best deploy them to resolve specific client needs
• Partner with engineering teams to develop prototypes and proof of concept applications to prove new architectures and technologies
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audience
• Work with engineering teams to provide guidance and support
• Engage with Fiserv organizations worldwide and relevant Industry Organizations

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proven experience designing and architecting large complex distributed systems
• Experience in the payments domain is a distinct advantage
• Experience with architecture modelling tools
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerisation and orchestration
• Experience with cloud platforms and serverless computing
• Proficiency in database technologies and messaging systems
• Solution Integration: ability to provide blueprints for integrating diverse systems and technologies to create a cohesive and efficient solution, including designing and implementing integration patterns, APIs, and data flows.
• Ability to understand both functional and non-functional requirements and to provide solutions that meet the desired quality attributes of the technology platform
• Leadership and mentoring skills to guide development teams in architectural best practices
• Experience collaborating across cultures, markets and regulatory environments in a global context
