On behalf of our Manufacturing Client in Shannon, we are currently sourcing a Supply Chain Manager to join their Team. This is a very exciting role for the right candidate and has 1 direct report.
Reporting to the General Manager,
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible to lead, plan, control, and organise, the Supply Chain Function to achieve optimum efficiency to meet agreed objectives.
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for supply of raw material & consumables, purchasing, production planning, inventory management, shipping, logistics and customer order management
The Responsibilities
- Management of end-to-end Supply Chain.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of our customer's supply chain strategy to identify and implement end-to-end solutions.
- Monitor and produce Supply Chain KPI's reaching the established targets.
- Drive continuous improvement of key operations and processes.
- Drive purchasing pipelines for the plant & liaison with Division/Corporate procurement as required.
- Negotiates with vendors to obtain optimal contracts and pricing.
- Manage all the warehouse functions, utilising analytics and date monitoring, to evaluate past performance & trends to forecast inventory and distribution requirements.
- Manage the logistics and the distribution for the business to support customer requirements.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis of key operational data to identify issues. Follow up on the corrective actions and develop programs that eliminate them.
- Be the plant FCO (Facility Compliance Officer) and drive to 100% compliance for the plant.
- Manage and develop all Supply Chain staff. (CS, Planning, Purchasing, Shipping/WH)
Education & Qualifications
Purchasing, Engineering or Technical Degree and or Masters, with sufficient experience to be considered for the role
Experience
- 7 years working in supply chain.

- Strong communication skills: listening, written, verbal and interpersonal,
- Excellent organisational skills, ability to priorities work and multiple tasks,
- Strong analytical, organization, prioritization, and project management skills,
- Proactive, self-starter, who must be able to work independently without supervision,
- High level proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD, MRP/APS/ERP Systems.
- Good attention to detail, resulting in high level of accuracy in all aspects of the position,
- Lean Manufacturing experience and knowledge,
- High level of professionalism and integrity and good work ethic.
