Store Handler, Supply Chain, Ballycoolin, Dublin (Temp 18 months)

Position Description 

Applications are invited for the position of Stores handler, Dublin Supply Stores, Ballycoolin, Dublin 15. The duties of the warehouse team is to provide an efficient service to satellite stores and delivery teams while maintaining adequate security, adhering to work practices and ensuring strict controls are in place for indoor and outdoor operations.

The Supply Chain manages the ‘end to end’ inventory process within ESB Networks. This includes liaising with the delivery businesses on their requirements to purchase materials and ongoing storage via the central stores in Ballycoolin and satellite stores around the country.

Key Responsibilities 

• The custody and security of stocks and stores premises 

• The physical movement of stocks in and out of stores 

• The loading and unloading of a variety of materials 

• Goods receipting of deliveries and safe & secure storage 

• Picking and compilation of orders, confirmation on IT system and loading for safe transportation 

• The implementation of a wide range of stores procedures and regulations 

• The operation and use of computer systems, forklifts, narrow aisle machines and stores handling equipment 

Experience and Qualifications

Essential 

• Excellent attention to detail 

• Experience of working in a Warehouse environment 

• Experience of Narrow Aisle Machines and/or Forklift operation. 

• Good Communication Skills including written and verbal 

• Ability to work on own initiative within a team environment 

• Excellent Customer Service skills 

• Competent IT skills 

• Junior Certificate or two years relevant work experience required 

Desirable 

• Experience in Warehouse Management Systems 

• Knowledge of the Environmental Health and Safety Management System 

• Ability to work at heights 

• Forklift Licence 

• Manual Handling Certificate

Reporting to 

The successful candidate will report to the Supply Stores Team Leader.

Salary

€32,000 - €38,000 per annum
