Purchasing Assistant
A growing global firm with a strong presence in Dublin is looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join their operations team. This role supports the full purchasing lifecycle, working closely with the purchasing associate while partnering with teams across the business. The role
You will be involved in everything from raising and checking purchase orders to reviewing vendors, comparing pricing, tracking deliveries, and supporting general purchasing workflows. You will also work with colleagues in the US, help keep product and vendor data accurate, and assist with budgeting, asset management and day to day admin.
As you settle in, you will have the chance to expand your responsibilities. This includes researching new products and suppliers, supporting global sourcing, helping choose procurement methods, and getting involved in negotiations and vendor management.
The candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or a similar role, a solid eye for detail, and the confidence to manage a busy workload. Experience buying technology such as hardware, networking equipment or software is a strong advantage. You will need to be comfortable with Word and Excel, and experience with Great Plains or ReQlogic is a bonus. Strong communication skills and the ability to use your initiative are key.
Bachelor's degree is required.
Location
This role is based in Dublin, so you will need to be able to commute easily.
